High Tea To Go
Sattea Loose Tea is a Surrey based company that specializes in catering High Tea events throughout the Lower Mainland. They are able to provide anything that you could need for an Afternoon Tea event. They have a large selection of food options, loose leaf teas and dishes available to choose from. During the COVID-19 restrictions, they have also started to provide High Tea To Go boxes, that they deliver right to your door, at a date and time of your choosing. We were lucky enough to be gifted two High Tea boxes from Sattea.
Our boxes came with a few more items than the typical ones, in order for us to try as many items off the menu as possible. I highly suggest that you take a look at their extensive menu options here.
In a typical High Tea To Go box (for one person), you are able to choose 3 sandwiches or savouries, 2 scones (served with preserves and cream), 3 desserts and a tea of your choosing. We found that the portions are ample, so this amount of food would be perfect for an afternoon tea.
The individual boxes start at $25 dollars and there is a $10 delivery fee.
We thoroughly enjoyed the items that we tried from the Sattea menu and we will list a few of our favourites.
Savouries
We both really enjoyed the Roasted Veggie Sandwiches, which are served on white bread and stuffed with marinated roasted veggies. They have a delightful Mediterranean flavour.
The Cucumber Sandwich was also very tasty, with a nice amount of dill to add to the flavour.
All of the savouries tasted great and there was not one that we didn’t enjoy.
Scones
The scones are a very well-executed part of this High Tea. We were able to try three different flavours and each was delicious. The Chai Spice Scone was my favourite. The warm spices in the dough and the sweet glaze on top made a delectable combination.
Desserts
We also were able to try a number of desserts. I have to say that the Carrot Cake square was my favourite. It was incredibly moist and the cream cheese frosting sent this dessert to the top of my list. The Orange Ginger cake was very nice as well.
Tea
We received the Earl Grey Cream tea to try with our High Tea. It was simply delicious. I like Earl Grey Cream but Lily prefers regular Earl Grey. Whatever your tastes are, you can find a tea that you will love from the long list of wonderful teas on offer.
