Pumpkin Bread From Scratch

A yummy Pumpkin Bread that can be used for breakfast, snacks, or even dessert.

Servings 2 loaves

Ingredients
  

  • 1 and 1/2 cups sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 3/4 cup oil
  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp allspice
  • 2 cups pumpkin puree
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup

Instructions
 

  • Set oven to 350 degrees.
  • Spray two loaf pans.
  • Beat sugar and eggs on medium speed until creamy.
  • Add oil and maple syrup and beat again.
  • Combine all dry ingredients into a medium bowl and whisk thoroughly
  • Add dry ingredients to wet ingredients.
  • Add pumpkin and mix on low until combined.
  • Bake for 1 hour or until a toothpick comes out dry.

Notes

To make the glaze, add maple syrup and icing sugar to a small bowl. Add each to your own liking and mix well.  Drizzle onto the bread when it is fully cooled. Store bread in an airtight container for up to a week.
