Last Spring, my friend and I went to London. On a recommendation from her brother and sister-in-law, we went to tea at The Wolseley.
The restaurant has a fun and inviting feel, while still giving off an old school glamour. They serve all sorts of food as well as afternoon tea. Though the service is top notch and the servers are dressed to the nines, guests do not have to be formally dressed and there is a laid back atmosphere. In fact, there was a group of students sitting next to us drinking beers and playing chess.
The afternoon tea is lovely and, as I mentioned on Instagram, they offered to give us seconds of any of the tiers. We were shocked, but apparently in England having seconds (of at least the savouries) is often offered. Of course, we accepted their offer and then we definitely didn’t need any dinner!
I would highly recommend The Wolseley for a more laid back tea, at a very good price.
