TWG West Coast Tea

The West Coast Tea is unique to the TWG Vancouver location is available all year long. We had the pleasure of trying this tea on Sunday, February 17th. The three of us shared one tea set, so we didn’t all get to try each item but we each enjoyed what we tasted.

For more about TWG and the teas that we have tasted see our two other reviews: our ORIGINAL REVIEW and our LUNAR NEW YEAR review.

Savouries

Ahi and albacore tuna ceviche with coconut milk, cilantro and mango infused with Alfonso Tea. I am a big fan of ceviche, so I was happy to see this on the menu and it was well executed.

Imperial Lapsang Souchong Chicken Cone. I was able to have this savoury all to myself and it was superb. It consists of a cracker cone filled with chicken salad, and it was beautifully done.

Lobster and kaffir lime tortellini with Red Jasmine Tea infused bisque sauce. Lily tried this item and she thoroughly enjoyed it. The lobster was the primary flavour, and that is the way she likes it.

Seared scallops with Tokyo-Singapore Tea infused gremolata. The seared scallop is cooked perfectly and the gremolata gave it a extra dose of flavour.

Smoked salmon cheesecake infused with Sweet France Tea. Our friend Rosanna tried this savoury and was delighted by the light and creamy salmon flavour– not too powerful, but still present.

Sweets

New World Tea infused mango lychee pudding. I love mango so I liked this pudding quite a bit. It is fresh, light and perfect for a spring or summer day.

Magic Moment Tea infused cake and Vanilla Tea infused langues de chat biscuit. These two items are served together and compliment each other well. The cake is chocolatey and smooth and the biscuit is crisp and full of Vanilla flavour.

Tokyo-Singapore Tea infused yuzu tartelette. I love the creamy whipped dome on the top of the tartelette. The combination of the dome and the filling is lovely.

A choice of TWG macaron. Any of the macarons would be a good choice. They are always well done.

The sweets tier.

Ambiance, Service and General Experience

We love the ambiance and service at TWG and would recommend getting the West Coast Tea, if you are in the mood for a light and fresh option on a sunny day.
